Cardiology
Finding out that your companion has heart disease is always difficult. It is important, however, to find out as much as possible about the condition as soon as possible so we can choose the most appropriate treatments and intervention if needed.
The basic cardiac work-up at the Tuckahoe Animal Hospital consists of chest radiographs, ECG, and an echocardiogram. An echocardiogram is a very safe test and is almost always performed with minimal restraint and rarely sedation.
All echocardiograms are either performed by or reviewed by a Board certified veterinary cardiologist to assure the most accurate interpretation and treatment recommendations available.
